First of all, there is an initial consultation with Dr. Hallgren at her plastic surgery office in Kamloops, to discuss exactly what you would like done, and what treatment is right for you.

Once you have decided on your course of action, you will be given a date of surgery (we will do our best to accomodate your schedule) and a pre-operative appointment to further discuss the details involved.  Plastic surgery in Kamloops is done at either Kamloops Surgical Centre or Royal Inland Hospital.

Plastic surgery will be performed, either at the private surgical center - Kamloops Surgical Center, or, at Royal Inland Hospital.

Minor procedures and surgeries such as upper lid blepharoplasty and mole removal are done in our approved office facility.  Non-operative procedures such as dermal fillers (Juvederm or Restalyne) and Botox are also done in the comfort of our office.

Yes, If you are having plastic or cosmetic surgery this is very true.  This can be true for non-operative cosmetic procedures like dermal fillers as well.  Please avoid; aspirin, aspirin containing products, or NSAIDs, at least two weeks prior to plastic surgery.  Examples of these medications include; ADVIL, Naprosyn, ASA, Vioxx, and others.

These medications can increase your risk of post surgical bleeding and bruising.  For non-operative cosmetic procedures like dermal fillers or Botox these can increase your risk of bruising.

Yes, there are others that can also increase the risk of post surgical bleeding after plastic surgery.  Ensure you discuss with Dr. Hallgren everything you are taking to make sure it is safe.  She will go through your medical history with you prior to booking your plastic surgery procedure.
